Heating services

There is no end to heating applications and technologies. Fortunately, over the years, we have received significant hands on experience in the field, on a wide array of different heating applications
What We
Service
Furnaces
In Colorado’s diverse and often harsh climate, the most commonly encountered furnace types include high-efficiency condensing gas furnaces (90%+ AFUE), which are popular for their energy savings and ability to operate effectively at high altitudes; non-condensing conventional gas furnaces (80–85% AFUE), still found in many older homes; two-stage or modulating gas furnaces that provide more even heating and improved comfort in cold winter conditions; and electric forced-air furnaces, typically installed where natural gas is unavailable or as supplementary systems. We are fully equipped and certified to diagnose, service, and optimize all of these systems to ensure safe, reliable performance throughout Colorado’s demanding heating season.
Fan coil hydronic heating systems
We are fully equipped and experienced in servicing these central hot-water loop fan coil systems: from annual maintenance on the central water heaters/boilers and circulation pumps to coil cleaning, fan motor/blower replacement, aquastat and valve repairs on the First Co. (and similar) air handlers found in thousands of Colorado apartments.
Heat pumps
We are a service provider for all major heat pump systems found throughout residential and commercial properties in Colorado. Common applications include:Cold-climate air-source heat pumps (Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat, Daikin Alira, Fujitsu Halcyon, Carrier Infinity, Trane XV20i) that maintain full heating capacity down to 0 °F and below—now the dominant replacement system in Denver metro, Boulder, and Front Range homes.
-Ducted heat pumps serving traditional forced-air ductwork with variable-speed compressors and supplemental electric heat strips for extreme cold backup.
-Ductless mini-split heat pumps for zoned heating and cooling in older homes, additions, and multifamily units without existing ducting.
Boilers
We specialize in the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of residential and commercial hydronic heating systems, with particular expertise in boilers. In Colorado's variable elevations and extreme winter temperatures, common boiler applications include high-efficiency condensing gas boilers, which recover heat from exhaust gases for enhanced energy efficiency and are ideal for radiant floor heating in modern homes; conventional non-condensing gas or oil-fired boilers (rare), often used in older properties for baseboard or radiator systems where cost-effective upgrades are needed; Steam boiler systems typically found in the historic neighborhoods of Denver; combi boilers that provide both space heating and on-demand domestic hot water, suitable for compact urban residences; and electric boilers, employed in off-grid or gas-limited areas for supplemental heating. We are fully certified and equipped to perform diagnostics, efficiency optimizations, and altitude adjustments on all these systems, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with local codes throughout Colorado's challenging heating demands.
RTU's and packaged units
We come prepared and equipped for commercial packaged rooftop units (RTUs) and all-in-one vertical packaged systems throughout Colorado. The most common equipment we maintain in offices, retail centers, schools, and multifamily buildings includes:
-
Standard-efficiency and high-efficiency gas/electric rooftop units (Carrier, Trane, Lennox, York, AAON) ranging from 3 to 100+ tons with constant-volume or VAV configurations
-
Heat-pump rooftop units that provide economical shoulder-season heating in Colorado’s mild fall and spring conditions
-
Magic-Pak and First Co. thru-the-wall or closet-mounted all-in-one units, widely installed in mid-rise and garden-style apartment corridors for individual apartment heating and cooling without rooftop penetrations
These self-contained systems incorporate direct-expansion cooling, natural-gas or electric heat, economizers, and supply/return blowers in a single weatherproof cabinet. We specialize in preventive maintenance, refrigerant recovery and recharge, economizer repair, heat-exchanger inspection and cleaning, combustion analysis and high-altitude burner adjustments, control board diagnostics, and full curb-to-duct system commissioning—ensuring reliable performance, code compliance, and optimized energy efficiency across Colorado’s extreme temperature swings and elevation challenges.
